It’s time to say “Welcome to KIMEP” for the new international members of KIMEP community. This year our office of International Mobility (DIAM) and Student organization Buddy of International Students organized event to welcome everyone. Elmira Suleimanova, Director of DIAM gave a speech with regular tradition to provide statistics about number of countries studying at KIMEP, total number of nations living in Kazakhstan and etc. Sholpan Orazaly, International Officer presented students customs and traditions of Kazak people and Altynai Mutaliyeva introduced everyone with national dressing and cuisines. To continue event, BIS and DIAM invited national instrumental group “Ordabasy” to introduce sound of national instruments, dancing group “Saltanat” to show national Kazakh dance and its rich national costumes in reality. And of course, living in the multinational country we have invited representative of Caucasus group “Magari” with it hot dance to warm up all. To conclude event it was small reception with national cousins and snacks provided for all guests to try a piece of hospitality, photo shooting and networking with KIMEP community.
