Country Day: South Korea and introduction of new organization KOCO (Korean Culture Organization)

On Friday 13, 2016 DIAM was organized “Country Day” dedicated to South Korea and at the same time introduction of new international organization.  Regular and Exchange Students from South Korea (Eric Hyoungjin Lee, Jin San Jung and Yeongho Suh)  were presented information about culture of South Korea, national cuisine, interesting stories and language. Also during the presentation it was a quick quiz prepared to check how much information participants knows about Korea. And small language session where all students get a chance to learn a few Korean phrase as for example “Hello”, “Thank you”.

“Today, South Korea is quite popular for its K-pop culture”-said Erik.  It’s interesting fact, that there are a lot of students and teens nowadays are following K-pop culture and fall in love with South Korea. During the event, International students were introduced a new organization called “KOCO” which is mainly will focus on introducing cultural activities to all.  Members of organization will help to all students to be a part of Korean culture as for example, organizing “Hits day” for those who are going to S.Korea for Summer2 school, Movie days, Language Exchange  between local and Korean students and many other activities. The main purpose of the KOCO is to create a really interesting networking and active, international society with the same interests. Moreover, to help students to learn more about country and provide useful information about different opportunities.
