On the 24th April 2019 KIMEP University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with AIFC Bureau for Continuing Professional Development (BCPD). This Memorandum is a significant milestone in our ongoing collaboration because both of our great institutions serve one aim: Quality Education of highest world standards.
The ceremony was held in the Executive Education Center of KIMEP University in Almaty with participation of Mr. Yernur Rysmagambetov, Deputy CEO of AIFC Authority, and his team. KIMEP University was represented by the Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Dr.Gilbert Linne, Provost Dr.Timothy Barnett, and the Dean of Bang college of Business, Dr.Ho Young Lee.
The AIFC Bureau for Continuing Professional Development is responsible for human capital development and plans to retrain over 5000+ specialists in the financial industry of Kazakhstan and, ultimately, creating critical mass of professionals for AIFC eco-system and beyond. In addition, the Bureau is responsible for investment and financial literacy programs related to AIFC’s core pillars including Islamic Finance, Fintech, Capital Markets, Green Finance, as well as Asset and Wealth Management. Here we find very close partnership of the AIFC BCPD with KIMEP Bang College of Business and the Executive Education Center.
The memorandum will give a start to many fruitful collaborations in education area between two respectful institutions, not limited to:
1) Promotion of continuing professional development;
2) Promotion in enhancing investment literacy;
3) Development and implementation of joint educational and continuing professional development programs and courses;
4) Organization of joint education and professional events (forums, conferences, seminars etc.);
5) Conducting joint research activities and other.
After the ceremony, Yernur Rysmagambetov gave a lecture in front of Leadership Development Program students, shared his experience, and gave thoughtful advice on career development to KIMEP graduates. The lecture was a success and finished with Q&A session, networking with the students and photo session.
With good will, clear ambitions and a strong commitment to work together, we look forward to taking the next steps towards our common goal of better, more equitable education and well-being for all in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
