“Animal Protection in Kazakhstan: Legal and Ethical Aspects” Express Course

On January 17 – February 17 the KIMEP University School of Law in cooperation with the Animal Law KazBar Commitee, the
Animal Protection Organizations Alliance of Kazakhstan, INUCOBO Animal Protection Association, the International
Scientific Research Institute of Animal Law and with the support of the Ministry of Information and Public Development
of the Republic of Kazakhstan shall hold an online express course titled: “Animal Protection in Kazakhstan: Legal and
Ethical Aspects”.

Who will benefit from the express course?

This course is suitable for a wide range of people. It is recommended to everyone who wants to deepen their knowledge in
the sphere of animal law, students of law, veterinary and other specializations, lawyers, representatives of law
enforcement and other government agencies.
Participation is free of charge.

• You will understand how does the system of regulating the number of stray animals in our country work;
• You will understand the legal regulations of issues of handling animals;
• You will discover, what functions do the state bodies and non-governmental organizations have in the issues of

Upon completion of the course you will have the opportunity to obtain a certificate. For this you will have to attend
all 10 seminars and to take a final test.

Express Course Speakers

As part of the opening of the express course, Mr. Alishet Zharmagambetov, a Senior Inspector at large of the environmental police group of the Preventive Activities Committee of administrative police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, will make an introductory speech.
