On May 6th in the anticipation of the Victory Day of the Great Patriotic War KIMEP University held an annual reception for war veterans. Students and staff of the University organized celebratory lunch and concert where veterans were congratulated by Dr. David Landis, Acting Vice President of Academic Affairs, and KADA Student Organization; KIMEP faculty and staff have also performed before the veterans.
Twenty veterans participated in the Victory Day celebration in the University. Six veterans that were unable to attend the celebration were congratulated by KIMEP staff and student volunteers in their homes.
From April 26 to May 5 KIMEP University Office of Student Affairs organized charity fundraiser to support veterans. In one week the fund managed to collect 101,000 tenge that were distributed among 26 veterans along with food baskets purchased by the University.
KIMEP University is very grateful to all staff, student volunteers and KADA Student organization for active participation in organization of the event to support veterans of the Great Patriotic War, as well as KIMEP Grill for organization of celebratory lunch.
