NEW SUMMER SCHOLARSHIP PROFESSOR WHO WILL BE TEACHING TWO IR COURSES IN THE SUMMER 1 SEMESTER – DR.VLADIMIR RYZHKOV!

Dr. Ryzhkov has a PhD in History and has been involved in social and political activism in Russia since 1987. He has held positions such as Vice-Governor of the Altai Region and Deputy of the State Duma of Russia. Notably, during his career path he has met Henry Kissinger, Bill Clinton, Helmut Schmidt, Boris Jelzin and many other historical and notable figures.

In addition to his political background, Professor Ryzhkov is a seasoned writer and radio host. He has authored multiple books and columns and has contributed to independent radio Ekho Moskvy and “The Moscow Times” daily newspaper. Since 2007, he has also been a professor at the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE), where he taught courses on the history and theory of European integration and the study of the Euro-Atlantic region.
